Welcome to Connect Christian Academy
We are excited to announce the launch of Connect Christian Academy, a private Christian school planning to open in 2026*. Located in the heart of the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, we offer a faith-based education that inspires students to grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Our dedicated staff and focused curriculum prepare students for success in college and beyond.
*As prices in the industry increase/decrease and as opportunities arise, this timeline could look different. However, God knows how it will all work out and we are trusting in Him for His will to be accomplished.
WHY CHRISTIAN EDUCATION?
Christian schools provide choice for parents seeking to raise their children in the context of
their own religious, philosophical, and pedagogical beliefs. Having Christian schools within
the landscape of school choice should not be seen as a threat to local schools, but rather a way to increase competition and therefore increase quality for all schools.

The CARDUS EDUCATION SURVEY (CES), a combined effort of The University of Notre Dame,
Boston College, and private christian colleges, is a study from 2011 between the motivations and
outcomes of different education types from private school (Catholic, Protestant, Nonreligious,
Home Religious) and public school to better understand the role of Christian schools in
students’ lives, in families, and in larger society. Here are some of their findings:
HOW TO READ THE DATA
The horizontal line labeled 0 represents the average response from the public school control group. Each control group answered the question/statement on a 7 point scale from completely disagree to completely agree or by amount.
“Raw score” (left bar) is the data taken directly from the control groups. “School Effect Alone” (right bar) are results after controlling for family background variables such as age, race, gender, and parental characteristics like education level, religious service attendance, academic push, religious affiliation, and family structure.
